Using Your Account
Go to Instagram and open your profile. You will see the profile icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen, a picture of a person’s head and shoulders. Clicking on it will open your profile.
- To edit your profile, click on the profile icon at the top-right of the page and select Edit Profile.
Then tap Followers. At the top of your profile, you’ll see this information and the number of people who follow you.
In the Search box, type in the name or username of the person you want to find. The box is located at the top of the page. Type into it, and a list of related searches appears.
- The Instagram search will not be available if you are using a computer. You should check the other person’s profile instead of scrolling through your Followers list if it takes too long.
Scroll down to the other person. Your Followers list will show you the profile of the person you’re searching for if they follow you.

View The Profile Of The Other Person
Click the search icon to open Instagram. At the bottom of the screen, the search icon is a magnifying glass.
- You can search on Instagram by clicking the Search field at the top of the page.
You will need to enter the person’s username or name. Click on the Search box at the top of the page. The results will be displayed in a list.
Click on the name of the person to open their profile. You’ll now be able to view the latest updates from them.
Click the following. You can see how many people a person follows near the top-right area of the screen. When this is clicked, the person’s followers are displayed.
- Unless you are following the person, you won’t be able to see their Following list if their profile is private. Make sure you are following the person by checking in your profile.
Scroll to the top and find your name there. The top of the list will display your profile link and name if you follow this person on Instagram.
- You will be listed just below this person’s hashtags if they follow hashtags.
